Originally developed in Great Britain as a safety management system, OHSAS 18001 laid the groundwork for the ISO 45000 family of occupational health and safety standards.

Organizations which are currently OHSAS 18001 certified can migrate to ISO 45001 by March 2021 if they want to retain a recognized certification.

OHSAS 18001 has been implemented by a wide variety of industries. Regardless of size, whether the organization employs three people or three thousand, the goal of this management system is to focus on your employees' wellbeing and ensure that the very best practices are being implemented for their health and safety.
