ISO auditing and certification: The Certification International is a full-service certification body (registrar) accredited by the United Accreditation Foundation (UAF), a Virginia-based accreditation body, to certify against ISO International Organization for Standardization standards. Because ISO standards are accepted by some 160 signatory countries and some 700+ standardizing bodies around the world, ISO standards are, by definition, the world’s current best standards. Nothing surpasses an ISO standard. TCI is a trusted partner to thousands of organizations of all kinds – from large Fortune 500 firms, to national government agencies, to small, family-owned enterprises, these organizations rely on TCI to keep them performing their best.
ISO certification is used by more than a million organizations throughout the world to achieve world-class professionalism. Empirical analysis performed by UCLA has shown direct, consistent correlation between implementing ISO management systems and a positive return on assets of between 1% and 5%. In the UK, ISO management systems are credited with a boost in GDP growth of 28% and growth in productivity of 37%. In Germany, ISO management system standards are credited with optimization in innovation and research. Individual firms have reported gains of more than 20% in operational efficiency upon certification.
Equipment testing and inspection: TCI is also accredited to test and inspect equipment, for example, in the petroleum, construction and maritime industries.
Third-party testing and inspection are services mandated by law for laboratory equipment, manufacturing equipment, machine tools and construction equipment. Testing and inspection is vital to machines and equipment accessed by the public, such as elevators and escalators, gasoline pumps, and amusement park attractions.
